Bicycle Innovation Lab in Luxembourg and Canada

Like so many others Bicycle Innovation Lab is spending the summer traveling. They have just been giving advice about infrastructure in Luxembourg. Over the next couple of days they will present three talks at the world's biggest cycling planning conference Velo-City Global 2012.
Counselor in Luxembourg

It is not only Copenhagen who can enjoy the visions and experiences Bicycle Innovation Lab has gathered since its opening in November last year. The Exhibition The Good City had barely opened before Bicycle Innovation Lab went to Luxembourg as part of a Danish delegation invited to give advise to the city about how to develop its bike culture. Between profesionel planners of cities and infrastructure Bicycle Innovation Lab distinguish themselves by having a different and down to earth perception of the bike.

To create a bicycle culture is not only the creation of bicycle paths or campaigns. It's also about offering the citizens something that shows the concrete benefits of cycling. That could be a bicycle library where it's possible to find the kind of bike that fits you.

Speaker at Velo-City Global 2012
Between June 26th - 29th you can find Bicycle Innovation Lab at Velo-City Global, the worlds biggest cycling planning conference. This year it takes place in Vancouver, Canada, one of the most exciting bike cities of North America. Over four days people from all over the world meet to share best practices for creating and sustaining cycling-friendly cities.

Bicycle Innovation Lab is invited to share some of the experiences we have had as a house of cycling culture. We are presenting three talks about how a bicycle library can help broaden users' knowledge of alternative mobility options, how trying new posibilities can lead to new life style choices and a presentation of the views on bicycles that the loaners have provided Bicycle Innovation Lab with.

The conference is expected to be visited by 1500 bicycle planners from all over the world. Copenhagen is strongly represented as a bike city with several speakers among them Ayfer Baykal, Technical and Environmental Mayor of Copenhagen, who is one of the keynote speakers.

Bicycle Innovation Lab is looking forward to seeing one of North America's wildest bicycle cities and bring back a lot of inspiration.
